Design for the buyer and the budget

Choose a finish level for the property

The address, renovation scope, budget and target ARV guide the design. Daisy looks at where buyers will notice a choice, such as the kitchen, primary bath or a visible fixture. The finish level needs to fit the home you’re bringing to market and the numbers you’re working with.

Help someone picture living here

A flip has a future homeowner, even when that person hasn’t seen it yet. Daisy thinks through how the rooms will feel and work together, using warm, neutral finishes that leave room for someone to make the home their own. The design considers daily use as well as listing photos.

Give the crew a plan to build from

Selections come before demo, with quantities and links for ordering. Your crew can work from the same list instead of making finish decisions as they go. Daisy helps with build questions and substitutions, keeping the design and the budget in view when a product needs to change.

Look inside Daisy’s renovations

Most of these homes began as flips. Read about the choices Daisy made for the next homeowner, from cabinet combinations and kitchen storage to bathrooms and indoor-outdoor spaces. The project pages pair those details with photos of the finished work.

A Hawthorne home with a wood kitchen island, a white stone fireplace and an outdoor kitchen on the covered patio.

A Redondo Beach condo with slim white oak cabinets, a seven-foot kitchen island and a living room open to the balcony.

A Torrance home with an oak kitchen under a beamed, vaulted ceiling, a wet room with a soaking tub and a backyard pergola.

Questions

Investor FAQ

How is the design fee calculated?

Design starts at $1.75 per square foot of the home, with a $2,500 minimum. The quiz gives you an estimate in about two minutes.

When do I get the selections?

Before demo starts. You get a full list with quantities and links so ordering never holds up your crew.

Do you only design for Sal’s flips?

No. Daisy designs for investors, landlords and agents across Los Angeles & Orange County.

Do you work on rentals and short-term rentals?

Yes. Long-term rentals get tougher finishes that hold up between tenants and still photograph well. Short-term rentals get a look that stands out in listing photos.

What do you need to start a flip design?

Start with the property address, renovation scope, budget and target after-repair value (ARV). Daisy uses those details to match the finish level to the home and the buyers you’re planning for.

Does the design fee include construction?

The design fee covers the design work and selections. Construction is separate. Daisy gives your crew a selections list with quantities and links, then helps with questions and substitutions during the build.
